City of Saluda Tax Collectors Office:
Real and personal property taxes are billed and collected by the Administration Department. With property taxes
being one of the City's main revenue sources, the Administration Department works diligently in keeping
delinquencies to a minumum. Our current Tax Collector has achieved a 99% collection rate for current year City
taxes.

The City of Saluda Tax Rate for the Fiscal Year 2009/2010 is as follows:
Polk County: $0.505 which includes $0.055 Fire Tax.
Henderson County: $0.515 which includes $0.065 Fire Tax.

Taxes are billed in late July/ early August for property owned as of January 1 of that year. Bills are due upon
receipt, and past due after January 5th of the following year. Any tax amounts remaining unpaid on January 6
begin to accrue interest based on the Delinquent Tax Interest Accrual Table. Delinquent taxes are advertised in
March of each year by the City Tax Collector. Additional advertising fees are associated with delinquent taxes
once advertised, so exact amounts would need to be checked with the Tax Collector.

Tax Payments may be remitted to: City of Saluda Tax Collector, PO Box 248 Saluda, NC 28773, contact
City Hall to reach the Tax Collector
