AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE FOLLOWING: THE HEIGHT AND SIZE OF BUILDINGS AND OTHER STRUCTURES; MINIMUM LOT SIZES; THE SIZE OF YARDS AND OTHER OPEN SPACES; SIGNS; THE MINIMUM NUMBER OF PARKING AND LOADING SPACES PER BUILDING UNIT; THE DENSITY OF POPULATION; THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND FOR TRADE, INDUSTRY, RESIDENCE OR OTHER PURPOSES, AND THE ESTABLISHING OF ZONING DISTRICTS FOR SUCH USES; PROCEDURES FOR CHANGES IN THE REGULATIONS, RESTRICTIONS AND BOUNDARIES OF SUCH DISTRICTS; AND PROVIDING THE METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION, ENFORCEMENT AND AMENDMENT; PROVIDING FOR A ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT AND DEFINING THE DUTIES AND POWERS OF SUCH BOARD; REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FINES AND PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION; AND OTHER PURPOSES. |

Burning permits are issued during regular office hours at Saluda City Hall and the Saluda Fire Department. Permits are also available online at: www.dfr.state.nc.us/burn_permits/burn_permits_main.htm Where do I Change my Address for my Tax Bill? The Polk County Tax Office prints the tax bills for the City of Saluda, so any clerical corrections or changes should be referred to the Polk County Tax Office |

It's simple- just complete the form and submit a voided check to have your bill automatically drafted on either the 10th, 15th, or 20th of each month. Contact City Hall for more information and a copy of the form. *Saluda Elementary School Launches Box Tops Fundraiser! This year, the school has set a goal of earning $750 through Box Tops to provide 5 free books per student throughout the school. Box Tops for Education is a school fundraising program started by General Mills in 1996, and has helped America's schools raise over $250 Million to buy the things they need, but can't always afford, such as library books, school supplies, and playground equipment. Box Tops gives schools the chance to earn up to $60,000 each year. If you would like to help Saluda Elementary School reach their goal, there are several easy ways to get involved: -Clip Box Tops from hundreds of your favorite products and send them to Saluda School, Attn: Stephanie Durham, Box Tops Coordinator at 214 East Main St., Saluda, NC 28773. -Sign up to support Saluda Elementary School on the Box Tops website at www.btfe.com -Shop Online once you've signed up, and Saluda School will earn a percentage of your purchases made through the Box Tops Marketplace. -Buy Books once you've signed up, and Saluda School will earn a percentage of your purchases made online at Barnes & Noble through the Box Tops Reading Room.
